Windswept - Pelican Cottages

This is the Windswept Cottage. The “middle cottage” is located steps away from your own private beach access. This quaint, two-bedroom cottage sleeps six and has a kitchen, combined living/dining area, one bath, two queen beds and an outdoor shower. This cottage also offers a covered porch with rockers and an oceanfront deck, perfect for watching the dolphins swim by. The Pelican Cottages are all pet friendly! We welcome all pups, at an additional fee of $100 for one and $150 for two. Please limit the total amount of pups staying to two. BED LINENS and TOWELS ARE NOT provided. Make arrangements to bring your own. Billy, our local manager, rents linens and towels so you can reach out to him if you would like the beds made and towels set up when you arrive. 

If you need more space, inquire about the other two Pelican Cottages. We are perfect for all vacationers. From large families getting together to couples enjoying a quite escape. You will have full access to the Windswept Cottage, the outdoor shower, grill, and front porch. The guests staying at the other two cottages on the property can use the direct beach access and ocean view deck. 

Nestled along the shoreline of the famous Beach Road, Highway 12, our location exudes a cozy, at home, historic feel. Unlike the bustling hotel/motel and mega-house areas of OBX, our neighborhood offers a serene and welcoming atmosphere. Explore the beauty of the Outer Banks with ease, as Jockeys Ridge State Park, the Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve, and Dowdy Park are all just a short drive or a leisurely bike ride away from our cottages. Additionally, we're conveniently positioned less than a quarter mile from the Nags Head Fishing Pier. And when it comes to satisfying your taste buds, you'll find a delightful array of local dining options within a mile, including Surfin' Spoon, Tortugas Lie, Mulligans, Waveriders, Nags Head Cafe, Madison's Pizza, Lucky 12, Single Fin, Austin's Seafood Company, and The Spot. Navigating Nags Head and the OBX is a breeze, whether you're on foot or bike, thanks to the town's extensive multiuse path network. When it comes to driving, we suggest utilizing the beach road for your convenience. As you depart, the white shed positioned at the property's entrance blocks the north view. Please exercise caution while exiting, as cyclists and pedestrians will be using the multiuse path.
